SPEAK UP OR SELL UP — A MOVEMENT THE OWNERS CAN’T IGNORE

Updated: Dec 13, 2025

ree

There are moments in the history of every football club where the supporters must stand up and say:

Enough. No more. This stops now.

For Bristol Rovers, that moment has arrived , and it has a name:

SPEAK UP OR SELL UP.

This isn’t just a slogan.

This isn’t just a hashtag.

This is a movement born from silence, shaped by frustration, and fuelled by thousands of supporters who refuse to watch their club drift into darkness without a fight.

This is the line in the sand.

🔵 WHY SPEAK UP OR SELL UP EXISTS

Because the owners have vanished.

Because communication has collapsed.

Because promises have been broken, timelines ignored, and ambitions forgotten.

Because supporters have waited months for:

– a proper update

– a real strategy

– a vision for the stadium

– clarity on finances

– leadership

– accountability

– any sign that the owners still care

And instead we’ve been met with the loudest, most disrespectful sound of all:

Silence.

No update on stadium developments.

No explanation for relegation.

No honesty about failures.

No direction for the future.

No meaningful communication whatsoever.

A once-proud club has been allowed to crumble behind closed doors.

And the people who built this club ,the supporters , have been treated like they don’t deserve answers.

Speak Up Or Sell Up is the response.

🔵 THE MESSAGE IS SIMPLE

If you want to own this club, then you must communicate with it.

If you want to lead this club, then you must show leadership.

If you want the support of the fans, then you must respect them.

And if you can’t, or won’t, do those things?

Then stand aside.

Sell up.

Move on.

Let someone else take the responsibility you refuse to take.

That is the heart of this campaign.

🔵 THE 9 DEMANDS — THE BACKBONE OF OUR MOVEMENT

These are not extravagant.

These are not aggressive.

These are not unreasonable.

These are the bare minimum any modern football club should expect from its ownership.

1️⃣ A real long-term stadium plan

Not vague hints. Not rumours. A real update.

2️⃣ Genuine communication

Not AI statements. Not empty PR. Real voices, real answers.

3️⃣ Accountability for relegation

A personal apology. Not excuses. Not silence.

4️⃣ Explanations for last season’s failures

And how they will be fixed , not repeated.

5️⃣ A proper long-term football strategy

Not short-term fire-fighting.

6️⃣ Financial clarity

What is the playing budget? What are the expectations?

7️⃣ Transparency about the owners’ ability to invest

No more pretending. Say it plainly.

8️⃣ A clear plan for external investment

Where it’s coming from, how much, and what ownership changes it involves.

9️⃣ A proper executive structure

A full-time CEO, CFO and football-experienced leadership team.

These demands define the direction this club must take , or face irreversible decline.

🔵 SATURDAY VS SWINDON — A MOMENT FOR THE FANS TO ACT

Saturday isn’t just a match.

It’s a statement.

For nine games we’ve watched defeat after defeat, a season falling apart, and owners showing less interest in the crisis than the supporters who give everything to this club.

Swindon at home is the moment the fanbase says:

"We will not be ignored anymore."

We’re not calling for violence.

We’re not calling for abuse.

We’re calling for presence, unity and volume.

Banners.

Flags.

Chants.

Standing together with one message:

SPEAK UP OR SELL UP.

NO MORE SILENCE.

NO MORE DISRESPECT.

🔵 THIS IS OUR CLUB ,NOT THEIRS

Owners can come and go.

But the supporters?

We are forever.

We carry the history.

We protect the identity.

We are the club.

And when the people at the top disappear, hide, or treat us with contempt — then it’s our duty to make sure they cannot ignore the truth any longer:

Talk to us.

Stand up.

Lead.

Or go.
