Bristol Rovers have moved swiftly to bolster the behind-the-scenes setup ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, confirming three new additions to the Men’s First Team operation.
🔵 Gavin Crowe joins the Gas as the new Head of Medical and Performance, bringing a decade of experience from Cheltenham Town. Having previously worked with Head Coach Darrell Clarke at EV Charger Points Stadium, Crowe’s arrival adds a familiar and trusted figure to the backroom staff — one who knows how to keep squads firing on all cylinders.

🏋️♂️ Sam Pashen comes in as Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach, having held similar roles at both Cardiff City and Bristol City. With a background that also includes Cardiff Met and Bath College, Pashen brings a wealth of physical preparation experience to BS7.
📊 Completing the trio is Kyler Burns, who joins from Cheltenham as Lead Sports Scientist. With past roles at Swindon Town and Dundee United, Burns' data-driven approach to performance will be vital in fine-tuning the squad throughout a demanding season.
These appointments signal a clear intent from the Club to modernise and strengthen its off-field football operations. All three will work closely with Clarke and his coaching team — Jon Stead, Rhys Carr, and James Bittner — as Rovers aim for a strong season in League Two.
