Vital Gas Interview: TwertonGas

1. How did you become a Bristol Rovers fan?

Dad took me to a game at Twerton Park

2. What’s been your favourite ever Rovers moment?

Lee Brown's last minute goal to take us up for the 2nd time in a row.

3. Which season do you think was the most memorable, and why?

Doing Cardiff and Wembley finals in the same season and that great late run in post defeat to Doncaster.

ree

4. Who’s your all-time favourite Bristol Rovers player?

Lambert was a class above.

5. Do you have a current favourite Rovers player?

Not really, if pushed, Connor Taylor.

6. How do you feel about the direction the club is heading in?

I feel awful, full of dread, concern and embarrassment.

7. Any standout performers this season?

No, I guess you could say Kofi has looked a decent prospect.

8. What would you like to see improved at the club (on or off the pitch)?

I don't have the time or patience for that long list.

9. Now the retained list is out, anyone you would have kept or anyone you would happily drive to a new club.

I'd happily lose all bar Taylor and Promise and build from scratch.

10. Any young players you’re excited about?

Not excited no, I don't trust us to develop them, just sell them or kill them off knowing us.

11. What’s your take on the current ownership situation at the club?

A mess.

12. Do you trust the current owners to take Rovers forward long term?

No.

13 What’s one thing you think the owners have got right—and one thing they’ve got wrong?

Nothing and the worst of many, Calderon.

14 How transparent do you think the club is with fans? Would you like to see more communication from the top?

Couldn't be less transparent and yes.

15 If you could sit down with the owner for five minutes, what would you say?

Please sell up to someone who has a clue.

16 What kind of manager do you think Rovers need right now? Any names you'd like to see? Should it be someone who knows the club?

Experienced, no nonsense, motivator, man manager, sound tactically. I'm open minded but as a gashead of course DC is a fairy tale. They need to know the club a little at least imo.

17. Realistically, what would be a successful first season for the new boss?

Realistically playoffs.
