Same Old Rovers: Sunk at the Seaside and Still No Direction

ree

Blackpool 4 – 1 Bristol Rovers.

The scoreline tells its own story—embarrassing, but sadly not surprising. Another limp performance, another afternoon of going through the motions, and yet again we’re left asking: where is this club actually heading?

We were second-best in every department. Blackpool didn’t even have to get out of second gear to tear us apart. Our shape was poor, our game plan unclear, and the gap in quality was obvious from the outset.

No Identity, No Direction

Tactically, we were miles off it. There was no cohesion, no sense of how we wanted to approach the game. The players looked confused, and who can blame them? When leadership off the pitch is muddled, it filters down.

Just listen to Connor Taylor’s post-match interview—raw, honest, and clearly hurting. He spoke like someone who cares, who knows this isn't good enough, and who wants answers just as much as the fans do. You could see it on his face and hear it in his voice: the frustration is real. But he shouldn’t be the one left to speak for the whole club.

Ownership in the Shadows

Hussain Alsaeed, where are you?

Over 2,000 fans have now signed the open letter demanding answers and accountability. That number grows daily—and so does the frustration. We are long past the point of patience. We need a statement. Not a vague press release, not a recycled interview from six months ago. A real, honest, direct statement that outlines what is going on at our football club.

What’s the vision? What’s the plan? What do you actually stand for?

The open letter is just the beginning. Keep signing. Keep sharing. Keep pushing. Because if we don’t demand better, who will?

We Deserve Better

We’re not asking for miracles. We’re asking for direction, honesty, and respect. We’re asking for a club that stands for something, led by people who care. The fans are showing up—home and away. It's time the people in charge did the same.

If Alsaeed won’t speak up, then maybe it’s time he stepped aside.

Up the Gas. Always. But we won’t stay silent.
